Description
Yew Tree is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with an early 18th-century cross-wing facing the road. It is constructed of red brick featuring flared headers in Flemish bond, topped with an old plain-tile roof. The building has a brick ridge stack at the rear and presents a two-storey, two-window range to the road. On the ground floor to the right, there is a 4-pane horned sash window. A moulded brick band runs between the ground and first floors. The first floor has two 20th-century two-light casement windows. The eaves are adorned with a shaped brick cornice.
On the right side of the house, the red brick continues with flared headers in Flemish bond on the left, while the right side features small timber-framing with brick infill. The gable end of the cross-wing is decorated with banded tile-hanging. A 20th-century panelled door is located to the left, and the overall fenestration is irregular.
