Description
Skirmers is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building features red brick on the ground floor and large timber framing on the first floor, with brick infill in the lower panels and rendered infill above. It has an old plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack located to the right of the center. The house is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range that is positioned at right angles to the street. There is a 20th-century half-glazed door located to the left of a lean-to extension on the right. The windows exhibit irregular fenestration and include casements. There are hipped dormers on the left and center, and a flat-roofed dormer on the right. The first floor and the gable of the left return are adorned with banded fish-scale and plain-tile hanging. Additionally, there is a wooden angled bay with casements, supported on brackets, located at the center of the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
