Description

The Filberts is a house dated 1745, located on Chalk Hill in Aston Tirrold. It is built of red brick and features an old plain-tile gambrel roof with brick end stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. There is a central sash door that is sheltered by a square flat-roofed porch supported by Doric columns. All openings have 12-pane sash windows. A flat brick band runs below the parapet of the roof, and there are three gabled dormers, each with 6-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. To the left, there is a single-storey wing that is likely from the late 19th century.
