Description
No. 9 Aston Street is an 18th-century house that has undergone some alterations to its interior. The building features red brick with grey headers in Flemish bond on the left side, while the right side is covered in pebbledash, likely applied to chalk. It has an old plain-tile gambrel roof with a brick ridge stack at the center and a brick end stack on the right. The house has a two-unit lobby-entry plan and is a single storey with an attic, displaying a two-window range. The central entrance consists of a plank door. To the left, there is a three-light wood casement window with a segmental brick head, and to the right, a four-light wood casement window with shutters. A dentil brick course runs along the eaves, and there is a gabled dormer located to the right of the center. Inside, the ground floor features chamfered spine beams and blocked fireplaces.
