Description
Lavender Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century, with a 20th-century extension on the left side. The exterior is roughcast, probably over brick, and it has a thatched roof with a brick stack at the center of the ridge. The original layout was a two-unit lobby-entry plan. The cottage is two stories high and has a three-window range that is positioned at right angles to the street, along with a two-story, single-window addition to the left. There is a blocked door in the center, and a 20th-century door is located on the right side of the extension. All openings feature three-light 20th-century casements, except for a single-light casement in the center of the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
