Description

Mead Corner is a house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of painted brick with an old plain-tile roof, featuring a brick ridge stack situated to the right of centre. The house has two storeys and a four-window range set at a right angle to the street. A 20th-century sash door is located to the left, and a 20th-century glazed door with a gabled plain-tile hood is positioned to the left of centre. A two-light leaded wood casement is beside the glazed door, with two three-light leaded wood casements to the right. A half-dormer with a hipped roof extends from the first floor on the left, containing three three-light leaded wood casements. The right return, facing the street, shows large timber framing with brick infill, and includes two-light leaded wood casements on both the ground and first floors. A queen-post roof truss is visible in the gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
