Description
Ferry Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, situated on the south side of Ferry Lane, Moulshord. The house is constructed with a timber frame and painted brick infill, and has an old plain-tile roof. A central brick stack rises from the roof ridge. The building is single-storey with an attic, and comprises a three-window range set at a right angle to the street. A plank door is located to the left of centre, alongside a three-light leaded wood casement. Further casements on the front include a three-light and a two-light example, and a single-light casement. Cross-gables project to the left and right of centre, each incorporating an angled oriel window supported on brackets and covered by a lean-to plain-tile roof. The left return, facing the road, features timber framing with painted brick infill, a two-light and a single-light leaded wood casement. The jettied attic floor reveals a Queen-post roof truss, including a single-light casement to the left and a two-light casement to the centre. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
