Description

Brookside is a house located on Westbrook Street in Blewbury, dating from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and a 20th-century addition to the right. The building features a rendered plinth, small timber-framing with painted brick infill, and an old plain-tile roof, complemented by a brick end stack on the right. It is a single storey with an attic and has a two-window range positioned at right angles to the street. The central entrance consists of a plank door beneath a 19th-century gabled porch. There are 19th-century two-light casements on the ground floor to the left and right, and gabled 19th-century half-dormers, also with two-light casements, on both sides. The interior has not been inspected, and the 20th-century addition is not considered to have special architectural interest.
