Description

Brookside is a house located on Brook Street in Aston Rowant, likely built in the early 18th century, with a 20th-century addition on the left. The building features a rendered plinth, light timber framing with brick infill, and red brick on the left side. It has a thatched roof with a brick stack at the right end and a ridge stack to the left of the center. The house is single storey with an attic and has a two-window range, along with a single-window addition to the left, also single storey with an attic. There is a 20th-century door to the right of the center, three-light wood casements on the ground floor, and three swept dormers. The right side of the building is constructed of flint with brick dressings. The interior has not been inspected.
