Description
Ferndale House is a mid-18th century house located on the south side of Aston Rowant High Street, in Kingston Blount. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, notable for its flared brick headers. The roof is covered with old plain tiles, and there are brick stacks. The house is two-storeys high with a three-window front. A 20th-century four-panel door, complete with a fanlight, is centrally positioned within a segmental arched surround. The ground floor windows are tripartite sashes with glazing bars, set within cambered brick heads. Replacing original windows are 20th-century two-light casements on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
