Description
Number 115 (The Firs) and Number 117 is a house located on High Street in Sawston, dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a clay pantiled roof and an end stack on the left side. There is a large rectangular red brick ridge stack from the 17th century positioned to the right of the center, and a slated rear wing. The house is two storeys high and originally had a three-unit plan with a lobby entry. The current entrance, located in a closed porch on the right side, dates from the 20th century. The ground floor has three twelve-paned hung sash windows and a small casement window, while the first floor features four horizontal sliding sash windows. Inside, there are cased ceiling beams.
