Description

No. 84 High Street is a house and shop that dates back to the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the early 19th century. The building is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a brick plinth and 19th-century gault brick end stacks. The front elevation has a plain tiled roof, while the rear is covered with pantiles. It stands two storeys tall and has an additional parallel range at the back, creating a double pile plan. The central entrance includes a panelled door, and there is a shop window that projects as a bay with a pent roof. To the left, there is a wide six-paned hung sash window, and on the first floor, there are two casement windows.
