Description
Whitechapel Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It features a rendered plinth and roughcast walls, likely built on a timber frame, with an old plain-tile roof and a brick stack located at the center rear. The house is probably designed with a two-unit lobby-entry plan, consisting of two storeys and an attic, and has a three-window range. The front entrance includes a four-panel part-glazed door set within a gabled 20th-century porch at the center. There are three-light wood casement windows on both the left and right sides, and a two-light window in the center of the first floor. Additionally, there are cross-gables on the left and right, each featuring single-light wood casement windows. The left and right returns of the building show timber-framing. The interior has not been inspected.
