Description
The properties at 29 and 31 Manor Road consist of two houses built in the early 18th century, with a 19th-century refronting to the right-hand side. The construction varies; a red brick plinth is visible on the left, while the left-hand section features large timber framing with brick infill, and red brick defines the remainder of the right-hand section. The roof is covered with old plain tiles, with brick ridge stacks positioned to the left and right of the centre, and an end stack on the right.
The houses are single-storey with an attic, presenting a four-window front. A 20th-century plank door, each sheltered by a 19th-century gabled plain-tile hood supported by brackets, is located on the left and to the right of centre. A 2-light 19th-century wooden casement, with a segmental brick head, sits on the right. Two 3-light 19th-century wooden casements are centrally positioned. A single-light 20th-century metal casement is located under the eaves to the left of centre. Four 19th-century gabled dormers are set into the roof. The interior of the properties has not been inspected.
