Description

The eastern pier of the gateway, located approximately 1150 metres southwest of Shotover Park, is possibly from the 18th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a square shape with a moulded base and cornice. This pier is one of a pair that flank the entrance to Shotover Park from the old London Road.
