Description
Prospect Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and banding, topped with an old plain-tile roof and brick stacks. The building likely features a central-stair plan that has been extended by one additional unit. It stands two storeys high, plus attics, and has a four-window front that was originally symmetrical. This facade includes a four-panel door situated between tripartite sash windows and leaded casements with two, three, and two lights on the first floor. The added unit to the right has a secondary door and a three-light casement window above. The original gable stacks have been enlarged to the right. All openings are topped with stone flat arches, and there is a stone eaves cove. At the rear, there are two-light roof dormers featuring leaded casements. The interior has not been inspected.
