Milward Shoes

Milward Shoes is a shop and dwelling located on St. Mary's Street in Wallingford. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The ground floor features 20th-century red brick, while the upper floors are constructed of grey brick with red brick dressings. The building is three stories tall and has a three-window range. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front with glazed doors in the center. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane unhorned sash windows with cambered rubbed brick heads. The second floor has an 8-panel unhorned sash window with a cambered rubbed brick head on the left, and two-light wood casements with cambered rubbed brick heads in the center and right. A dentil course is present at the eaves. The building is included for its group value.
