Description
This early 18th-century shop and dwelling is located in St. Mary’s Street, Wallingford, and has a 19th-century addition to its left. The main part of the building is rendered, likely over brick, and has a plain-tile roof with a brick end stack. It is a two-story, two-window range, with a central two-panel, part-glazed door. Shop windows are positioned to the left and right of the doorway. A flat rendered band runs between the ground and first floors. Above, there are two four-pane horned sash windows. Some beaming is visible in the interior. To the left is a two-story, single-window range addition, also rendered over brick, with an old plain-tile roof and a brick end stack. A sash door is situated to the right, while a two-light casement window is present on the ground floor to the left and another on the first floor in the centre.
