Description
This is a late 17th-century house, with alterations from the 19th century, located on the east side of St Mary’s Street, Wallingford. The house has a rendered plinth and lined rendering, likely on brick, with an old plain-tile roof and a brick end stack to the left. It is two storeys high, with a two-window front. A six-panel door with an overlight and a flat hood supported on shaped brackets is located on the right side of the facade. A tripartite, horned sash window with a wooden architrave surround is to the left of the door. The first floor has two Ipswich windows with leaded lights and carved wooden keystones over the arches. A painted wooden cornice features a carved pulvinated frieze. The interior has not been inspected, and a 20th-century addition is present to the left. The group value of the building relates to its contribution to the streetscape.
