Description
This building is a terrace of four houses, now functioning as shops on the ground floor. It dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The structure is made of grey brick with red brick dressings and features an old plain-tile roof. There are brick internal stacks located at the center, left of center, and to the right of center. The building stands three storeys tall with an attic and has a four-window range.
Each house has a door on the left side. The leftmost door is a 20th-century glazed door with a fanlight. To the left of center is a four-panel door with a decorative fanlight, while to the right of center is a six-panel door with a fanlight. The rightmost door is a 20th-century six-panel door with a fanlight. There is a 20th-century bay shop window to the left.
The windows include 16-pane unhorned sashes with cambered rubbed brick heads on the left of center and to the right, as well as a late 19th-century angled bay with horned sashes to the right of center. A flat brick band runs between the ground and first floors. The first floor features 16-pane unhorned sashes with cambered rubbed brick heads to the left of center and to the right, along with 4-pane horned sashes with cambered rubbed brick heads to the left and right of center. There is also a flat brick band between the first and second floors. The second floor has a 6-pane unhorned sash with cambered brick heads to the left of center, along with 6-pane horned sashes on the left and right, and a 4-pane horned sash to the right of center.
The eaves have a part-rendered band and parapet with recessed panels, and there are two gabled dormers at the center. The rear has irregular fenestration with some unhorned sashes. The interiors have not been inspected.
