Description

This building in Wallingford’s St. Martin’s Street is a house, later used as shops and offices, dating back to the 17th century, with alterations in the 20th century. Originally constructed with a timber frame and roughcast rendering, the building has an old plain-tile roof, with a later plain-tile section on the left-hand side. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure. A truncated four-panel door is positioned to the left and right of the centre. A 20th-century shop front with a 20th-century door is on the right. There's a three-light wooden casement window in the centre, a 20th-century angled bay window to the left, and a three-light wooden casement window to the first floor on the left. A circular metal casement window with leaded lights is in the centre of the first floor. The left return gable end features small panel timber framing. The interior has not been inspected.
