Description
This house, located to the right of Honeysuckle Cottage in Great Bourton, dates from the mid-18th century and has 20th-century additions. It is built from squared coursed ironstone and features a steeply pitched imitation stone slate roof with a brick end stack. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys plus attics high, with a two-window range. The approximately central entrance includes a stable door with a hood lintel, and there is a blocked doorway to the right. On the ground floor, there are two windows: a 2-light and a 3-light metal casement in wood frames, with the left window featuring lead cames and stained glass. The wood lintels above the windows are notable. The first floor has two 3-light metal casements in wood frames, with lead cames, crown glass, and wrought-iron casement fasteners and springs. Additionally, there are two 20th-century roof dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
