Description

Wedmore House is a mid-18th century house with later alterations and additions, constructed of squared coursed ironstone. It has a steeply pitched 20th-century tile roof and brick end and lateral stacks. The house is arranged in an L-shape, with three storeys plus an attic, and is a single-window range facing the Green. The front elevation has a 20th-century basement window with a wood lintel. The entrance is to the right, reached via three steps and a plank door under a wood lintel. The ground and first floors each have a three-light metal casement in a wooden frame, with chamfered wood lintels. A 20th-century skylight is also present. The elevation fronting the road has a gable on the right with a two-light metal casement with lead cames, a wrought-iron casement fastener and springs, and a wood lintel. A similar window is located to the left, featuring crown glass and a wood lintel. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
