Description

Blue Boar House is a house built in the late 18th century, with later 19th century brick additions and alterations at the rear. It is constructed of ironstone ashlar and features slate roofs with stone-coped gables and brick end stacks. The house has a central staircase plan and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range. The central entrance is highlighted by a pedimented stone porch and a panelled and glazed door. Flanking the entrance are three-storey canted bay windows that have sash windows with keyblock heads and hipped slate roofs. Each bay includes a panelled and glazed French door also topped with a keyblock head. To the left, there is a two-storey, one-bay extension that has an imitation wood mullioned and transomed window. The interior has not been inspected.
