Description
The Church of All Saints is a church located on Main Street in Great Bourton. Originally built in the 13th century, it was almost entirely rebuilt in 1863 by architect William White, who also added the north aisle. The church is constructed of ironstone ashlar and features steeply pitched roofs covered with 20th-century tiles.
The layout includes an aisled nave, a chancel with a south porch, and a north vestry, with a three-window range. The chancel has a two-light reticulated east window, an Early English style priest's doorway, and a lancet window on the south side. The nave features a restored two-light Decorated window on the south. The gabled stone porch leads to the west gable of the nave, which has a single lancet and two round-headed openings for the bell-turret. The church is supported by clasping and diagonal buttresses, and the north aisle contains two-light 19th-century restored Decorated and Perpendicular windows, along with diagonal buttresses.
Inside, there is a piscina in the chancel and a restored three-bay nave arcade, along with 19th-century fittings.
