Description
Barton House Farm includes a barn and stable located approximately 25 meters west of the farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. The barn is constructed from regular coursed ironstone rubble and features a very steeply pitched corrugated iron roof. The entrance to the threshing floor is on the right, with a wooden lintel and wide doors. There is a 20th-century extension on the left. Inside, the barn has a four-bay original roof supported by principals, tie beams, and collars. The stable, located on the right, is also made of regular coursed ironstone rubble and has a corrugated iron roof. It consists of three bays and includes stable doors. The interior of the stable retains its original roof, beams, and floorboards.
