Description

Baliffe’s Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century, with later alterations to the roof pitch. It is marked on Ordnance Survey maps as Manor Farm. The construction is of squared, coursed ironstone. It has a steeply pitched, 20th-century tile roof, with brick ridge and end stacks. The house has a three-unit plan and two storeys, with a three-window front. The entrance on the left has a 20th-century door and wood lintel. The ground and first floors each feature three-light 18th-century and 20th-century casement windows with wood lintels. Inside, the cottage has exposed beams and an open fireplace with a bressumer.
