Description

Laurel Cottage is a late 17th and early 18th century house located on the north side of Banbury Hill, Shutford. The house is built of coursed and squared ironstone and has a steeply pitched thatched roof with brick ridge and end stacks. It has a three-unit plan, plus a rear extension, and is a single storey with an attic. The entrance, on the right-hand side, features a plank door and a 20th-century trellis porch. It is flanked by three-light metal casement windows with wooden lintels. Two eyebrow dormers are situated in the roof, each with a three-light casement window. A single-storey thatched extension is attached to the rear of the property. The interior remains uninspected.
