Description

Bullocks Farmhouse and Bullocks Farm Cottage are a house and cottage dating from the 17th century, with the cottage significantly rebuilt around 1950 and the house rebuilt in the mid-18th century. The cottage features a timber frame with brick infill on the first floor, while the ground floor and rear have been rebuilt in brick. It has an old tile roof and a central rebuilt brick chimney. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays, with barred wooden casements—two-light on the left and three-light on the right. The entry is located in the left bay of the house.

The house has a ground floor made of flint with brick dressings and an upper storey constructed of chequer brick. It also has an old tile roof, a rebuilt brick chimney to the left, and an external chimney of narrow brick on the gable of the rear wing. The house is T-shaped, two storeys and an attic, with five bays. It features a first-floor band course and a moulded wooden eaves cornice with plain modillions. The ground floor has an irregular arrangement of barred wooden casements, including one two-light and one four-light casement, while the first floor has paired casements in bays two, three, and five, along with blind window panels in bays one and four. There are also two gabled dormers with paired casements. The left bay of the house has a fine old two-panelled door with a 20th-century flat wooden hood. Additionally, there are single-storey flint and brick extensions to the right. The interior of the house is partly timber framed.
