Description

Manor Farmhouse and Manor Farm Cottage are a house and cottage, originally dating from the early to mid-18th Century, with an extension added in the 19th Century. The main house has a rubble stone base, brickwork above, a first-floor band course, and a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The roof is tiled, with brick stacks located at the right gable and to the left of centre. The house is two storeys and an attic, with six bays. The two right-hand ground floor bays have paired wooden casements with bars. The remaining bays have four-pane sash windows with wooden moulding to the top of the frame. Ground-floor windows have brick heads. First-floor windows in bays two, three, and five are blocked. A single-light window is located between bays four and five. There are three gabled dormers with sash windows similar to those on the main facade. A half-glazed, panelled door is found in the fourth bay, recessed with panelled reveals and a reeded surround. Above the door is a gabled hood at band course level, featuring moulded bargeboards and carved scroll brackets. A 19th-century cottage is attached to the left, with a stone plinth, brick to the ground floor, tile-hanging to the first floor, a tiled roof that is half-hipped to the left, and a central brick stack. This cottage is two storeys high and has two bays, featuring 20th-century barred wooden casements and a door with segmental heads.
