Description

Lower Farmhouse is an early 18th-century house, originally a row of cottages. The front is constructed of chequer brick, while the gable walls and rear of the right-hand bay are of rubble stone. The rear and part of the left gable are timber-framed with brick infill. The roof is tiled, with three brick chimneys. The house is one-and-a-half storeys and has four bays with an irregular arrangement of 19th-century wooden casement windows on the ground floor. The first floor has three semi-dormers, each with paired casements. There are two doors.
