Description

Old Manor Farmhouse and attached cottage date from the late 17th and 18th centuries, with 19th-century alterations. The house is constructed of brick, with an imitation ashlar render to the front, and has a plain-tile roof, brick end stacks, and a rendered ridge stack to a rear wing. It is arranged in a T-plan with a wing projecting to the rear. The main part of the house is one storey and attic, and two storeys under a single roof, with a five-window front. The left-hand part of the front has a part-glazed, six-panelled door, remains of a timber open porch, and a casement window to the left. A 19th-century canted bay window on the right has numerous glazing bars. There are three half-dormers in the roof. 19th-century three-light casement windows with glazing bars are found throughout the building. The low, two-storey right-hand part has a plank door and a porch with a lean-to plain-tile roof. A top-hung sash window to the left has a painted wood lintel, and a three-light casement window is on the right. The first floor has two three-light casement windows with a horizontal glazing bar, and that above the front door has two leaded lights. The interior has not been inspected.
