Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the late 17th century to the 18th century, with 19th-century rear wings and alterations from the late 20th century. The building is roughcast, while the rear wing is made of brick. It has a roof covered with a mix of old and 20th-century plain tiles, featuring brick ridge and left end stacks. The farmhouse has a three-unit plan that extends to an L-plan with a wing on the right at the rear. It is two storeys high and has a five-window range, with the main front facing the garden. The first bay includes a 20th-century French window with glazing bars, while the other windows are sashes. There is a glazed door located between the third and fourth bays. The fourth and fifth bays feature late 20th-century two-light casements, and the fifth bay has no ground-floor window. The right side of the building, which faces the road, has a large 19th-century canted bay with a four-pane sash window and a dentil cornice, with another sash window above it. The main entrance is located at the rear and has a 20th-century door with a plain-tile hood. There is also a 20th-century glazed door and panel at a higher level immediately to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
