Description

Frog Hall is a house, originally a farmhouse and with an attached cottage to the left. The left-hand range probably dates from the mid-18th century, while the right-hand range was built in the late 18th century. Later 20th-century alterations have been made. The house is constructed in Flemish bond brick, with string courses and a dentil cornice to the main range. It has old plain-tile roofs, with some 20th-century plain tiles, and brick end stacks. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with a wing at the rear of the lower range. It is two storeys and has an attic. The main range has three windows and a central 20th-century door with an overlight containing latticed glazing. The painted wood doorcases are likely 20th century and feature pilaster strips and a thin pediment. The windows are sash windows, some dating from the 19th century. A tripartite sash window sits to the right, and a 16-pane sash window is above it, both set within gauged brick flat arches. The lower two-window left range has a 20th-century ribbed door and a blocked door to the right, with late 20th century three-light casements and glazing bars. Ground floor openings are set within brick segmental arches. A central roof dormer has a two-light casement with cross glazing and a gable with brick nogging. The interior has not been inspected.
