Description

Dunsmore House is a cottage dated 1662, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is timber-framed with whitewashed brick infill, and has a rebuilt brick ridge stack and a plain-tile roof. It follows a two-unit plan and has one storey with an attic. The original building has a two-window range. A 20th-century part-glazed door is located in the right corner. There are 19th- and 20th-century three-light casement windows with glazing bars. Whitewashed brick gable dormers are also from the 19th and 20th centuries. An irregular, single-storey brick range was added to the right, featuring a gable on the right side, a 20th-century two-light window, and a 19th-century three-light casement with glazing bars and a brick segmental arch. The left return side, facing the road, displays a carved and painted date on the gable bressumer. The interior was not inspected.
