Description
Dane Hill Farmhouse barn and stable, located approximately 30 meters north of the farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed from a mix of limestone and marlstone rubble, featuring wooden lintels and a corrugated-iron roof. The barn has a five-bay layout with central opposed full-height doors. The stable includes a central plank door, small flanking windows, and a loft door in the right gable wall. Both sections have steep-pitched roofs. Inside the barn, there are four trusses, each with a tiebeam, collar, and raking struts, which support two rows of butt purlins. The lower purlins are morticed for rafters, and some original rafters are still present.
