Description

No. 2 West Street is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched hipped thatched roof with brick stacks at the ends and ridge. The building has a two-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a one-window range. There are steps leading up to the entrance, which has a 20th-century door with a wood lintel. The entrance is flanked by two-light casements, also with wood lintels, and there is a similar half-dormer above. To the left end, there is a second entrance with an extension that has a thatched hood. A cellar window is present, featuring a wood lintel. The interior has not been inspected.
