Description

No. 9 South Street is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone and limestone, topped with a thatched roof. The original layout was a two-unit plan. The building is a single storey with an attic and features a two-window range of casements and horizontal sliding sashes, all with wooden lintels on the ground floor. There are eyebrow dormers in the attic and a brick stack at one end. The entrance is located in a 20th-century lean-to on the right side. The interior has not been inspected.
