Description
No. 11 Middle Street is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and brick, topped with a slate roof. The original layout was a two-unit plan. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range of casements on the first floor to the left, and a sash window on the ground floor left, all under flat arches and with glazing bars. To the right, there are early 20th-century bow windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, which is topped by an early 20th-century hood and is accessed by a flight of steps. There is a plinth at the ground floor level. An early 19th-century brick extension is located to the right and is also two storeys high, featuring a two-window range of casements under flat and shallow brick arches. The building has brick stacks at the ridge and end. The interior has not been inspected.
