Description
No. 10 Church Street is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed limestone and ironstone, topped with a thatch roof. The building likely started as a two-unit plan with a barn. It is a single-storey structure with an attic, featuring a two-window range of casement windows under wooden lintels on the road-facing elevation, along with smaller windows in between, one of which serves as a fire window. There are brick stacks located at the ridge and at one end of the house. To the right, there is a single-storey extension added in the 20th century. The rear of the building includes an entrance and eyebrow dormers. Although the interior was not inspected, it has been noted to contain an open fireplace.
