Description
This is an early 18th-century house with an attached barn and stable. The house is constructed of regular coursed limestone and ironstone, originally with a thatched roof. It was initially planned as a two-unit dwelling. The house is single-storey with an attic, and has a three-window front featuring 20th-century casement windows, some beneath wooden lintels. There are eyebrow dormers in the attic. A 20th-century door is located on the right side, and a single-storey extension of the same period projects from the centre of the building’s front. A brick stack is visible at the roof ridge.
The attached barn, also from the 18th century, is to the right of the house and has a double 20th-century plank door. A stable is attached at a right angle to the barn. The rear elevation includes a fire window. Inside the house, remnants of an open fireplace with a bressumer remain.
