Description
Rectory Farm includes a barn with an integral stable on the right, dating from the 18th century. The structure is built from squared, coursed ironstone and features a steeply pitched asbestos sheet roof. The gables are stone coped and have moulded kneelers. The barn has four bays, with a threshing floor entrance located in the second bay on the left. The stable entrance on the right includes a stable door with a wooden lintel. Inside, the original four-bay roof consists of principals, collars, tie beams, and purlins, along with square ventilation holes. Attached to the barn is a shelter shed, also likely from the 18th century, which has a corrugated asbestos roof and five original principal rafter roof trusses.
