Description
Omega Cottage is a house that was originally two cottages, built in the mid-18th century. It features coursed squared ironstone and has a steeply pitched thatched roof, with brick stacks at the ends and on the ridge. The building has a three-unit plan with a one-unit extension on the left end and is two storeys tall, with a single-storey extension.
The front of the house has a three-window range, with an entrance located off-centre to the left. This entrance consists of a plank door that has a glazed section and is framed with moulded wood. A 20th-century porch has been added. Flanking the entrance are two 20th-century metal casement windows; the left window has a keystoned stone lintel, while the right has a wooden lintel. On the first floor, there are three 20th-century casement windows, all with wooden lintels. The extension features a plank door with a wooden lintel, and to the left, there is a three-light 18th-century metal casement window set in a wooden frame, also with a wooden lintel, and supported by buttresses. The interior has not been inspected.
