Description
Linton Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone and marlstone rubble with wooden lintels and features a thatched roof with a brick gable stack. The building has a single-unit plan with an added end outshut and stands two storeys plus an attic. The front of the cottage has a doorway located to the left of centre, a two-light casement window to the right, and a small window at the extreme left. There is also a similar two-light casement window on the first floor. The outshut to the right contains a 20th-century casement window, while the right gable carries the stack and has a small window. The interior has not been inspected.
