Description
This is a small house located on the north side of Freehold Street in Lower Heyford, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of banded limestone and marlstone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a concrete roof covered with plain tiles, along with stone-and-brick gable stacks. The house follows a two-unit plan. The symmetrical two-window front features two-light casement windows to both floors, along with the doorway situated to the right of centre. All windows have ashlar flat arches. A stone sundial, inscribed "I.C.F," is centrally located on the front. The left-hand gable wall has a parapet and additional casement windows. The interior remains uninspected.
