Description

This is an early 18th-century shop and dwelling located on the south side of Bicester Market Square. The building is constructed of rendered timber framing, with a Welsh-slate roof and a brick end stack. It has a double-depth plan and three storeys plus attics. The front elevation features a tripartite sash window at the first floor and a double sash window at the second floor. A mansard roof features deep boxed eaves. A stack to the left includes a cluster of old shafts. A 20th-century shop front has been inserted. Internally, there are winder stairs on the upper floors. A large, 20th-century extension to the rear is not considered to be of special architectural interest.
