Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from 1606, as indicated by the datestone marked "T and AB." It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched stone slate roof with stone stacks at both ends and along the ridge. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a four-window range on the front.

The doorway is off-centre to the left and consists of a plank door with rails, surrounded by a moulded hood, a flat hood, and a wooden lintel. To the left of the door is a four-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stops, and a similar window is located to the right. On the first floor, there is a three-light and a four-light casement window to the left, both with wooden lintels. To the right, there is a three-light stone mullioned window with fragmentary remains of a hood mould and a three-light casement window with a chamfered wooden lintel. Most windows are fitted with wrought iron casement fasteners. The house features three gabled attic dormers and stone coping on the right side.

To the left, there is a catslide-roofed extension that includes a re-set two-light 13th-century window. A four-light stone mullioned window on the right end has a renewed hood mould. At the rear, there is a gabled two-storey staircase projection and a two-unit extension to the right.

Inside, the farmhouse contains chamfered beams, a 17th-century stone fireplace, finely detailed plank doors, and a wide wooden spiral staircase.
