Description
Manor House is a house built around 1920, constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble with a stone slate roof laid in diminishing courses. The building has an L-plan shape and consists of two storeys plus an attic, featuring a five-window range on the garden front.
On this front, there are two five-light stone mullioned and transomed windows that flank a porch with a four-centred arch and a plank door. To the left, there is a two-light and a three-light stone mullioned and transomed window, while to the right, there are four two-light and three-light stone mullioned windows, all with hood moulds and label stops. A gable front dormer to the right has a steeply pitched roof and a three-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stop, and there is a full dormer to the left.
An extension to the left is a single storey plus attic, featuring a three-light stone mullioned and transomed window on the ground floor and a gable front dormer with a two-light stone mullioned window. The right end of the house has a two-storey bay window with stone copings and a reset datestone from 1598 with the initials WMS. The interior has not been inspected.
