Description

Meadow Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century and 1825. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone and limestone in alternating bonds, topped with a plain tile roof and featuring brick end and ridge stacks. The building has a 4-unit plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and has a four-window range.

The principal front faces the garden and includes a central 20th-century door with an overlight and gabled hood, flanked by three-light ovolo stone mullion windows with hood moulds on both the ground and first floors. The window to the left is blocked with brick. To the far right, there is a similar window, a blocked door to the left with stone jambs and lintel, and a 20th-century window with a timber lintel above on the first floor. A 20th-century patio door is located to the far left, and a 20th-century casement window on the first floor has replaced the original mullions, featuring moulded stone jambs and a hood mould.

The stone-coped gables have kneelers. The left gable end has a four-light ovolo stone mullion window on the ground floor and a similar window on the first floor, along with a one-light window with a stone surround in the attic, all with hood moulds, although the windows are partially blocked by an inserted end stack. At the rear left, there is a two-storey wing with a datestone in the gable inscribed "TM/1825." The back door features a four-centred arched head and an old plank door.

Inside, the farmhouse includes chamfered spine beams, stone flagged floors, and an open fireplace with a moulded bressumer.
