Description
The Old Bakers Arms is a house dating from 1732, constructed of coursed squared ironstone with a pantile roof and brick end and ridge stacks. It features a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range. The entrance is a 20th-century glazed door on the left, which has a timber lintel and a straight hood above it. There is a blocked flat-arched window to the far left. The ground floor has two 20th-century casement windows with flat-arched heads. On the first floor, the windows also have similar flat-arched heads, with three-light casements on the left and right of the centre. The right-side casement has leaded lights, and there is a two-light leaded casement at the far right. The building features quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. A datestone inscribed F/IE/1732 is located in the left gable. At the rear, there is one two-light ovolo stone mullion window and various casement windows, including one with small leaded lights. The Old Bakers Arms was formerly a public house. The interior has not been inspected.
